2004-Present BAE SYSTEMS Advanced Information Technologies (AIT) AIT, formerly known as ALPHATECH, is a 1979 spin-off from MIT and acquired by BAE Systems in November 2004. We represent technology breadth from system and software engineering to artificial intelligence and network security in solutions from basic and applied research to operational software systems development and integration. The technical team at AIT conceives sophisticated mathematical and knowledge-based algorithms, develops them into robust software products, and integrates them into operational environments to meet the complex challenges faced by our customers DARPA, DOD Labs and other U.S. Government Agencies.

2006-2008 DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC COLLABORATION focus on top line growth by addressing organizational cross selling enhancing opportunities and breaking down organizational impediments. This role includes new business opportunity identification and execution. Trouble shooting organizational/culture impediments includes diagnosis, developing priorities and corresponding action plans and implementing appropriate organizational changes. Current business execution engagement: $100M proposal pursuit in the internet cyber security domain.

2004-2006 INTEGRATION GENERAL MANAGER responsible for bringing AIT into BAE Systems ensuring business case success of the $100M acquisition using a tailored approach to blend business practices for efficiency with the focus of preserving and growing the core technical talent and growing the talent pool. At the end of year 1 of the acquisition our population had grown our technical staff 30%. This defies the trend of large corporate acquisitions of small boutique technology firms that face mass exodus of the talent within the first year.*

1998-2004 BAE SYSTEMS Information Systems Sector – Three companies Mission Solutions (San Diego, CA), Enterprise Systems (McLean, VA), and Integrated Systems (Reston, VA). Provider of precision digital imagery software products, mapping applications, automatic test equipment, mission planning systems, and information technology infrastructure development and maintenance for military, intelligence, and commercial customers. 2004 revenue at $900+ million.

2000 – 2004 DIRECTOR, SECTOR STRATEGIC PLANNING responsible for all merger, acquisition, and competitive analysis activities associated with $900+ million sector. Led BAE SYSTEMS North America acquisition teams in acquisitions sized from $10 million to $1+ Billion. In this capacity reported directly to the President of BAE SYSTEMS North America. Established M & A evaluation process via distributed environment process saving 30% over prior evaluations. Developed C4ISR market analysis & strategy in multi-Sector environment culminating in $100+ million program pursuit. Recognized with leadership achievement award as capture manager for $800M dollar acquisition pursuit.

1998-2000 MANAGER, SECTOR ANALYSIS responsible for pricing, evaluation, and due diligence activities for all sector acquisition candidates. Led pricing and evaluation team for BAE SYSTEMS North America acquisitions of two former Lockheed Martin companies, Lockheed Martin Sanders and Control Systems. Recognized with extraordinary achievement award by President – BAE SYSTEMS North America.

1985-1998 BAE SYSTEMS MISSION SOLUTIONS – Diverse provider of precision digital imagery software products, mapping applications, automatic test equipment, and mission planning systems for military, intelligence, and commercial customers. 2002 revenue of $400+ million.

1990-1998 FINANCIAL PLANNING MANAGER responsible for all forward pricing rate development and negotiations while leading staff which managed company annual indirect budget of $100 million. Negotiated forward pricing agreements with the DCAA and DCMC two years running at 100% of proposed value. During special assignment, developed improved financial controls for commercial company acquisition resulting in 20+% ROS within two years. Received two Extraordinary Achievement Awards and was company’s YWCA TWIN (Tribute to Women In Industry) awardee in recognition for performance.

1988-1990 SENIOR ANALYST, COST ACCOUNTING responsible for development of company cost accounting system Disclosure Statement. Conducted price impact analyses justifying accounting changes. Negotiated cost accounting change impacts with the DCAA and DCMC.

1985-1988 FINANCE COST CONTROL ANALYST forecasting company staffing levels balancing affordability and schedule demands.
