Marya Daniels

Founding Strategic Advisor

Marya has a life long passion for scientific knowledge and education. Until recently, she was a Senior Sales/Marketing Manager at Hewlett-Packard Company for 27 years, both on the east coast (New York) and west coast (Los Angeles), working with the latest in advanced technologies.

As a Western Region Manager in the HP Enterprise Systems Group, Marya led a team of technical and business professionals at HP in working with Fortune 500 executives to help design and implement their mission critical computer systems. She worked with clients in various vertical markets, including financial services, manufacturing, telecom, government/education. Marya was also the North American Manager of HP Partners Program and focused on developing value-added partners in the financial services industry. And she also taught classes in leadership skills, efficacy for women managers, as well as technical product classes.

Prior to joining HP, Marya began her career as a mathematics educator, and taught math in New York City Public High Schools. She later joined the teaching faculty at William Paterson University in New Jersey, where she taught math education to prospective high school teachers. She also supervised the student teaching program at the college.

Marya has a BS in math/physics from the City University of NY, and also an MA in math from the City University of NY. She completed her EdD Doctoral coursework in Math-Education at Rutgers University.

Marya is currently based out of San Diego. She is also a volunteer at Project Wildlife, where she helps rescue, rehabilitate, and re-release San Diego wildlife, and brings animal ambassadors to schools to help educate kids and instill a love and respect for all species. Marya is also a Contributing Member of the RHFleet Science Museum, San Diego Art Museum, and San Diego Zoological Society.
